Classical music #

Classical music is a huge and daunting genre. It’s not even really a single genre: whereas pop music is maybe 100 years old if you’re really generous, and jazz just a little older, (western) classical music spans over a thousand years, which is divided into very distinct periods with very different styles. This was one of the key realisations for me when I struggled to get interested by classical music: I just wasn’t listening to music from the era that I really like.
